Fairy Stone State Park is located in southwestern Virginia between Bassett and Stuart, Virginia.

   Fairy Stone State Park is open all year. However, while most facilities are seasonal, you are welcome to enjoy the outdoor recreational activities any time. These activities include boating, camping, fishing, hiking, nature observation, picnicking and sightseeing. The swimming beach, boathouse, boat rental and concession stands are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

   Visitors to the park are allowed to hunt for staurolite crystals behind Haynes 57 Service Station on park property. Digging is not allowed in the park.
